After a busy week filled with interviews and hard work, I’ve finally managed to put together some footage of my July 5th set at Garfield’s in Brooklyn, which was organized by Poison Ivy [of course]. I was fortunate to meet Charles Hamilton, who served as the DJ for the evening but has inspired me to work more feverishly so I can get on his level. Video footage below — enjoy!
Fresh off the drop of her bandcamp bestselling album, M’other Brain, Sammus makes an appearance at Bar None, Poison Ivy’s first ever rap battle. Held on July 5th at Garfield’s in Brooklyn, the event kicked off with a three-song performance from everyone’s favorite twenty credit rapper and producer. Charles Hamilton served as the DJ for the evening and if you stay until the end of the video you’ll catch a snippet of a larger conversation between the two regarding the music in Sonic 2.
