Happy November! This month I’m only one day late with my First Thursday artist pick — aren’t you proud? Anyways, this month’s artist has become one of my favorite live performers after only seeing them one time. A few weeks ago I attended a show at a Providence venue called Machines with Magnets and when this month’s artist came on the “stage” I was shook. From their experimental, industrial infused beats to their raw rap energy and their varied flows and volumes they reminded me of what hip hop can look like when you decide to take risks. Soooo without further ado…this month’s artist is none other than Boston-based hip hop duo CMPBLD (pronounced Camp Blood).
