This month’s artist is someone I’ve been wanting to talk about for a long time. We performed together earlier this year at two record release shows in Texas for our mutual friend Ceschi (and before that we’d met in San Antonio as part of another tour situation with Ceschi). In addition to being able to spit harder than your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper, this month’s artist joins brilliant artists like Ceschi who weave their love of folk and rock into their hip hop artistry. This MC is unafraid to talk about all the facets of himself — from managing recovery to navigating life as a queer POC.
