I’ve been a bit behind on some things since starting a new position at Brown… so I missed posting a First Thursday artist for last month and this month (yikes). I’m finally getting my schedule sorta sorted out so I’m going to retroactively share September’s artist and the next post will be on October’s artist pick. So the September artist is a talented producer, mc, singer, and visual artist whom I had the pleasure of performing alongside 2017 as part of the after-show for the Game Developer’s of Color Expo. From the moment she hit the stage, she had all the juice. Her beats are dynamic, fun, funky, her voice is rich, and her stage presence is to-die-for. This month’s artist is none other than RaFia!
