This month’s artist is a newcomer who tackles many of the same themes that I discuss in my music – black feminist thought, surviving at PWIs, and America’s various systems of oppression to name a few. I had the opportunity to see her perform last week and I’m SO GLAD I did because it got me juiced for the future of rap.
