With just a few days left in 2016, I’ve been even more on edge than usual. This year has been unrelenting in its ability to keep lowering the bar just when it feels like things can’t get any worse. But in the same way that the year continues to surprise me with the bad, I have been pleasantly surprised by the great press my music continues to receive. In addition to a recent Pitchfork review, I also popped up in the LA Weekly on a list of women running Hip-Hop. 2016 was trash but the music it produced was anything but that.
