DONATE | THE CLOTHESLINE MUSE

While we continue to demand justice for #SandraBland, I would like to share information about a production I will be part of that chronicles an intergenerational dialogue between a Black woman and her grandmother. I am honored to be contributing some music to The Clothesline Muse, a theatrical production featuring some incredible Black women including Grammy nominated jazz singer Nnenna Freelon, set designer Maya Freelon Asante, and choreographer Dr. Kariamu Welsh (among others). The show will feature at the National Black Theatre Festival on August 7th and 8th in Winston-Salem, NC and tickets are on sale HERE. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined being a part of something so incredible and so important! The production company is currently in the process of raising some additional funds to make the show a success, so I encourage you to donate to the $15,000 indie-gogo campaign today — the deadline is July 31st! If you want more information on the production head to the Facebook page or check out the website
