I hate to be a “Buzz Killington” (as my friend Omari says) but before we get too excited for our day off, let’s do a quick historical inventory.  While we eat our hamburgers, take a dip, and sip on something that’s going to make us act reckless, don’t forget on whose backs this country was built. And don’t forget that Trayvon Martin will never see another Independence Day. I displayed the striking image below because it portrays exactly what I just said in a more compelling way.
